Students use digital media and environments to communicate and work    collaboratively, including at  a distance, to support

individual learning and contribute to the learning of others. Students:

  1.    http://animoto.com/education

This is the Web 2.0 tool that I will demonstrate and teach students and teachers how to use. They will be able to create informative and engaging videos with this tool.       Learning how to create videos will address NETS Standard 2, but will also address Standard 5 and 6, as well.

    2.     http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9X2IbSrfoKs&feature=related

This resource is a tutorial for creating videos using Animoto. The speaker's voice is

very clear and easy to understand. The directions are simple and clear-going step by

step. There are many variations of Animoto video tutorials on YouTube, but this one is clear and concise.

    3.     http://langwitches.org/blog/?s=animoto

Langwitches is a resource that contains a wealth of information on 21st Century Learning. This resource link provides information on using Animoto and has examples.
Bookmark the Langwitches blog. It is one to use for all things Technology and Learning.

    4.     http://marymac.pbworks.com/f/HOW+TO+CREATE+A+VIDEO+USING+ANIMOTO.pdf

This resource is a wiki that contains a pdf file with a tutorial about creating videos using Animoto. It can be printed and enlarged onto posters, for example, as a guide. In case the pdf file should ever be removed from the wiki page, it would be a good idea to have a printed copy. The directions and screenshots are very helpful.

Jing is used to capture an Animoto video to demonstrate how to embed it in a blog,
website, or with another Web 2.0 tool. Jing is easy to use and provides a place to
                    create tutorials.

    6.     http://www.slideshare.net/leperez1/animoto-teen-volume-2010

Slideshare is a web 2.0 tool that allows you to upload jpg files from powerpoint slides. An entire powerpoint presentation can be uploaded to Slideshare and then

embedded in a blog or wiki page.

This slideshare file contains a presentation on creating a video using Animoto. Some of the text can become hidden when using Slideshare, so it is best

to reduce the font on the powerpoint slide prior to uploading.

A ning is a Web 2.0 tool that requires registering to participate and collaborate. This resource is a good example of a video created with Animoto. For librarians and

media specialists, it would be a very resourceful community to join.

    8.      http://theunquietlibrary.libguides.com/content.php?pid=196227&sid=1671706&search_terms=animoto

This is probably my favorite resource created using libguides.

It is an excellent resource for creating videos with Animoto. Libguides is a subscription

based resource. Buffy Hamilton has created valuable resources for her library

patrons. Students and teachers have access to these tutorials and resources at all

          times.

    9.      http://twitter.com/#!/animotoedu

Twitter is an amazing tool and is so resourceful. This resource contains links that are being updated. The links are Animoto related topics.

There are many examples found at the links. This will be a continously updated resource.

   10.     http://sites.google.com/site/edtoolstrade/adding-animoto-to-a-google-site

Google offers many tools for teachers and students to communicate and work

collaboratively, such as Googlesites, docs, blogs, and Picassa, a picture manager

source. This resource link gives directions for embedding an Animoto video on a

          a Google tool.
